SCOTT TOWNSHIP, Pa. - A two-sport star at a suburban Pittsburgh high school has been charged with raping a 17-year-old girl after luring her to his home with a gift.
Eighteen-year-old Ross Wilkerson was arrested Tuesday on rape, aggravated indecent assault and other charges.
Scott Township police say Wilkerson messaged the girl on Snapchat last Friday and told her to come to a pool house behind his home. Police say when the girl arrived, Wilkerson forced her to have sex.
Wilkerson's attorney denied the allegations.
"The victim's story is completely false," Michael Santicola said. "It's absolutely a shame he has to go through this."
School officials have declined comment, citing confidentiality rules about student matters.
Wilkerson was the leading scorer on the school's basketball team. He also stars on the school's baseball team and had planned to attend John Carroll University to play that sport.
Police said the investigation is ongoing. Wilkerson's preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 16.

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - One man has been arrested in the case of an abduction and rape on the LSU campus.
Around 6:30 p.m. on Friday, March 17, the LSU Police Department arrested Frank Herrera Jr., 20, of Baton Rouge at his girlfriend's home.
Lt. Kevin Scott with LSU PD said in a press conference Friday night the victim parked her vehicle behind the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority house on the LSU campus on Wednesday, March 15 when she was forced into her vehicle by an armed man. The victim reported a man wearing all black with a red bandanna over his face grabbed her and forced her into her vehicle.
Scott went on to say the two drove off campus, where the victim was reportedly forced to perform a sexual act while Herrera held the gun against her. The victim was then dropped off at a convenience store in the 1700 block of Government St. Herrera reportedly told the victim to go inside to buy condoms. She then called police once inside the store.
LSU PD detectives processed the victim's vehicle, during which clothing and additional evidence was found, leading detectives to identify Herrera as a suspect. Officials then obtained a search warrant for the home where Herrera was staying and for his vehicle. During the search, detectives found an iPhone case in Herrera's bedroom that matched the victim's case. They also located a small safe in Herrera's bedroom closet that contained a small, black 9mm semi-automatic pistol wrapped in a red bandanna, both of which matched the victim's description of the items.
Detectives were also able to locate the victim's iPhone at a business near Herrera's home. The owner of the store verified that Herrera brought the phone to the store on Thursday, March 16.
Officials say DNA evidence collected from the vehicle matched Herrera's DNA profile. Herrera was questioned by LSU PD detectives and reportedly confessed to kidnapping the victim and forcing her to perform oral sex.
Herrera is charged with second degree kidnapping, second degree rape, armed robbery, possession of schedule I narcotics, and possession of a firearm on school property. When taken into custody, Herrera was found to have a small amount of marijuana on his person.
LSU PD said they believe this was an isolated incident and a crime of opportunity and that the victim and Herrera did not know one another. They went on to say their patrols on campus are sustained and are ongoing 24 hours a day.
The clerk at the store where the victim was dropped off, Alhassan Murgan, assisted her, giving her his cell phone so she could call police and her mother. Officials reportedly arrived about 25 minutes after the victim called 911.
Surveillance video from the store of the clearly shaken woman captured the hair-raising moments shortly after she shuffled into the One Stop convenience store on Government St. after the alleged attack.
The video showed her being ushered in by some Good Samaritans who tried to help. "We're trying to make sure she's good, like we're trying to make sure she's good," Murgan said.
Murgan was on the register that night and said the look in her eyes as she stumbled into the business sent off a red flag that something was horribly wrong. He said the story she told him that night sent chills down his spine.
"She said, ‘The guy in the car, he raped me and he said if I tell anybody he's going to burn my car and kill me,'" he added.
Murgan said he immediately called police, then handed the phone over for the young woman to call her mother, all while giving her a place to hide behind the register.
"She was crying and shaking you know," Murgan said.
WAFB’s Scottie Hunter asked the clerk what was going through his mind at the time of the ordeal. "[I thought] like why he do this you know? Like you don't have a heart, you don't have any feelings. It's just sad man," Murgan added.
The suspect took off before police arrived, but while investigators are still trying to piece together the complete details of the case, Murgan said he will never forget that night and has an important message as to why he chose to help a stranger in need.
"Anybody that have a problem, we help you know,” Murgan said. “It's all about peace and love."
LSU President F. King Alexander spoke out following the update from LSU PD Friday night.
"We received some comments about the minimal amount of detail we released during the investigative process, and I would like to assure you that there was reasoning behind that – there was a preponderance of evidence pointing to the suspect and law enforcement was very close to making an arrest. We could not afford this predator any opportunity to flee or avoid being apprehended because we released too much information," said Alexander.

BELLE FOURCHE — A Butte County grand jury indicted a Belle Fourche man on two counts of rape in the first degree of a person who is less than 13 years of age.

According to court documents filed Nov. 8, 2016, on Aug. 18, 2016, David Mead, 18, accomplished an act of sexual penetration with a 12-year-old female

Additional court documents filed on March 14 indicate Mead was again indicted for rape in the first degree of the same 12-year-old female between Sept. 17 and Nov. 10, 2016, after Mead turned 19.

First-degree rape is a Class C felony, punishable by life imprisonment in the state penitentiary. Under this class of felony, there is a mandatory minimum requirement of 15 years in the state penitentiary. Additionally, a $50,000 fine may be imposed. If convicted, Mead, who pleaded not guilty on both counts, would be required to comply by the South Dakota sexual offender registry laws.

Mead was released on $25,000 bond following the first indictment in November, 2016, and after the second indictment was filed March 14, was rearrested and has been incarcerated since that time.
Matt Kinney, Mead’s attorney, indicated during his Thursday arraignment on the second count, that Mead’s family borrowed money from their church to pay for the initial bond.
Kinney said that evidence has been obtained since the original indictment to indicate Mead and the female victim in this case allegedly had a consensual sexual relationship prior to that indictment. Kinney requested the $10,000 cash surety bond in the second indictment be lowered.
Butte County State’s Attorney Cassie Wendt addressed the court during Mead’s arraignment Thursday about the nature of the charges.
“The court is well-aware of the facts in this case and the egregious nature of the facts of this case not given allegations of force but allegations of age,” Wendt said. “My concern really does go back to, we have information or the state believes it can prove that the victim’s grandmother had ongoing communication with the defendant indicating to him both the victim’s age and the severity of what could occur if he did not discontinue the type of contact he was having with the victim. That occurred prior to the charges.”
Additionally, Wendt said her office is in possession of a police report from the Box Elder Police Department that indicates as recently as March 4, there was ongoing communication between Mead and the victim. This apparently is in violation of the previous order file in November.
“In addition to that, it is my understanding and the state believes it would have evidence to show the court that there was an acknowledgement between the two parties with respect to a pact to kill themselves together at the same time in different locations,” Wendt said. “The victim has been hospitalized due to what is going on around her and due to the continued involvement with the defendant.”
Based on the severity of the charges and the age of the victim, Wendt requested that the court retain the bond as is.
Fourth Circuit Court Judge Mike Day said that he took into consideration the facts of the case and opted not to adjust the bond, adding that he feels the amount may actually be too low.
Day ordered Mead have no contact with the victim and scheduled a non-evidentiary motions hearing for both files for 10 a.m., on April 3 at the Butte County Courthouse in Belle Fourche.

NAVI MUMBAI: A woman who resides in Kopar Khairane has lodged a complaint against her 14-year-old son for impregnating his 17-year-old sister

Accordingly, on Friday, the local police registered a rape case against the boy and booked him under section 376 of the Indian Penal Code, along with relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

According to the Kopar Khairane police, the complainant, who works as a housemaid, alleged that her daughter was sexually assaulted by her brother on two occasions in October 2016. The incident came to light after the girl complained of stomach pain and was taken to a private doctor. This is when her mother learnt that she was five months pregnant

Upon questioning the girl revealed that her brother had sexually assaulted her twice when she was alone at home while their parents were away at work. Their father is an autorickshaw driver.

The police detained the boy, a student of Class IX, on Saturday and are inquiring into the matter.

Boy booked for rape after impregnating elder sister  | Updated: Mar 19, 2017

A 12-year-old LaPlace boy has been arrested and booked with rape, according to the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office. The victim is his 5-year-old sister, authorities said.
The boy, who has not been identified by authorities because he is a minor, was arrested Monday (March 27) and is being held at the Terrebonne Parish Juvenile Center in Houma, according to a sheriff's office news release.
The victim's grandmother reported Friday that her granddaughter had been sexually assaulted in mid-March, authorities said. During the investigation, detectives learned "the juvenile had sexual contact with his 5-year-old sibling," the news release states.
Authorities said the suspect "admitted to his involvement" when he was questioned.
The sheriff's office said no additional information would be released about the incident because it is a sexual assault case involving young children.
