CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A 25-year-old man is accused of raping a 6-year-old girl and recording the attack with his cellphone, according to police.
Justin Torkowski of Cleveland is charged with rape. He is being held in the city jail on $250,000 bond.
Torkowski's 27-year-old girlfriend - who is related to the victim - is charged with third-degree felony child endangering for placing the girl in a dangerous situation with Torkowski, according to court records. She is jailed on $50,000 bond.
The attack happened Dec. 1 at a home on Poe Avenue in the city's Brooklyn Centre neighborhood, police reports say.
Torkowski's girlfriend found the video on his phone on April 28, according to police reports. She called a friend and told her, police reports say.
The friend called police about 2:30 p.m. Friday and reported the incident. Officers arrested Torkowski about 30 minutes later at his home.
The girl was with her father when Torkowski was arrested. She was brought to the Second District to talk to the detectives investigating the case, according to police reports.
Torkowski has two prior felony convictions.
In 2014, he and two others stole three catalytic converts from cars in Cleveland. He also lied about his name and age to police booking him into the jail. The year before he was convicted of possessing prescription narcotic painkillers.
