A 60-year-old man has been arrested for sexually assaulting two minor girls in Southwest Delhi.
The accused, Mohammad Jainul, who works as a labourer confessed to the police that he lured the two girls, aged 5 and 9 years to his house with the promise of chocolates and sweets on Sunday.
According to the details, the parents of both the girls, who are labourers had gone to work when the incident took place.
The accused assaulted both the girls in front of one another and warned them not tell anyone. He even gave them Rs 5 each not to narrate the incident.
While the girls were terrified of the man’s warnings, the five-year-old girl started crying because of the pain after which she told her mother what had transpired.
The parents of one of the girls called 100 on Sunday evening and later the two families then approached the police.
A case has been registered against Jainul and he has been sent to 14-days judicial custody after being produced in court.
In another case of rape, a 22-year-old was arrested in South Delhi in connection with the rape of a minor.
The 12-year-old girl was raped on several occasions in the last four months by her landlord’s relative.
An FIR was registered against the accused, Bunty and police have arrested the accused even though he fled his house after learning of the police complaint.
