INDORE: A seven-year-old girl was raped by a 55-year-old man in Manawar area of Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday.
"Parents of the victim were at work and she was at home, when the accused approached her. The incident look place in Anjada Badiapura village of Dhar district," Manawar police said.
Victim's elder sister, who was looking after her, had gone to a grocery shop to grab some namkeen, when the accused Padia Ranchod took the girl to nearby fields and raped her, police said.
The elder sister heard the victim scream of pain when she was returning home, they said adding she found her sister in the fields and immediately raised an alarm.
The girl was sent for a medical examination. The police have booked padia for rape.
